You don’t have to be ‘ON’ 24/7.

For my 3rd visual I got my inspiration from The Matrix. The Matrix trilogy is one of my all-time favorites and I still remember the impact it had at the time.

In an era where we are always connected, and people are grabbing their phones more than their loved ones 😉, disconnecting and reconnecting with what is really important — people around us — is key. And what is the ultimate disconnect? Exactly, that moment in The Matrix where Morpheus presents Neo with the choice, the red pill or the blue pill.

I knew upfront using pop-culture references can go two ways. People get it and love it, or they don’t.

I also wanted to try this super minimalistic style. I remember back in the day when Apple introduced these glossy see-through pill-shaped buttons and there were these simple 48-step tutorials (this is before YouTube) in Photoshop books. People loved those and I just wanted to do something similar yet super simple. I also wanted to go from the 16:9 format I used for my earlier visuals to the 1:1 Instagram style.

With that in mind, I hopped onto PowerPoint to create the visual and posted in on Twitter

Does my visual resonate with you then please give it a like and perhaps a retweet to share it with others. I’d sure appreciate it!
